Emily Whitehurst has joined Constantia Healthcare as its Chief Operating Officer.
The 34-year-old will be responsible for the operational direction of the Group and has initially been tasked with the integration of our latest home, Lilibet Manor in Rossendale, Lancashire, which was acquired at the end of 2021. This includes overhauling management systems and overseeing the refurbishment of the home.
Emily, who has also become registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) as the ‘Nominated Individual’ for all four homes, has joined Constantia from The Hennessey Partnership where she was a Director and Chief Operating Officer.
Before this, she was National Head of Learning Disability Services at Bondcare, and also worked for The National Autistic Society for 11 years.
During her 16-year career in the health and social care sector, which started as a support worker, Emily has been heavily involved in quality management and compliance and played a leading role in helping to turnaround multiple services described as inadequate by the national regulator and placed under notice of decision to revoke registrations.
Emily says: “I am delighted to have joined Constantia Healthcare and am looking forward to playing my part in the growth of the Group.
“We will be looking to constantly improve in all areas and work closely with our residents, families, staff and other key stakeholders to ensure we offer consistent, person-centred services which deliver great outcomes for the people in our care.”
