Anarose Tango might hail from the Philippines, but her heart is definitely here in Blackburn at Queen’s Lodge.
Anarose is the Nurse-in-Charge at Queen’s Lodge, which means she has responsibility for overseeing the nursing care at the home.
She is one of six qualified nurses working at Queen’s Lodge.
Anarose says: “It’s a lovely place to work. The staff are great, and the residents are lovely, so it makes for a special atmosphere.
“As a nurse, it’s good to be able to meet the needs of people who require a bit of extra support, in such a nice environment.”
Anarose Tango says whilst working during the Covid-19 pandemic has been difficult, she is pleased there have been no cases within the home.
She adds: “It was new to everyone and we were all anxious, but we just had to be professional, follow the guidelines and be there for the residents.”
When she’s not working, Anarose enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter.
Queen’s Lodge Nursing and Care Home is rated as good by the Care Quality Commission and provides care for up to 40 residents in a homely, comfortable, safe setting. This includes long-term, short-term, respite and nursing care.
