We are looking for a dedicated Care Assistant/Support Worker to join our team supporting vulnerable adults in our registered care home in Rossendale.
Previous experience is essential (ideally a minimum of 1 year) and we will fully train you to ensure you have all the up-to-date skills needed to provide the very highest standard of care and support.
Being a Care Assistant means you are integral to the day-to-day lives of the people you support, helping them with various activities such as assistance with personal care, social inclusion, maintaining health and well-being and, being the linchpin to their quality of life.
Being a driver is preferable, you will need to be able to work flexibly across a 7 -day rota to include early mornings, evenings, bank holidays, weekends, and nights.
You will have experience in providing excellent care and support to adults who have a variety of needs such as dementia, mental health, physical disabilities, rehabilitation support and behaviours that may challenge. You will hold people’s dignity, respect, privacy, choice and independence at the forefront of your approach to ensure you’re consistently delivering person-centred care and support to our residents.
All our employees complete a comprehensive in-service induction programme that includes a classroom week of induction and shadow shifts before working with the people we support. You will be enrolled to our excellent e-learning programmes and, face-to-face training and development sessions to enhance and refresh your skills and knowledge.
You’ll receive one-to-one supervision with your line manager along with an annual appraisal.
