Middlesbrough Grange care home provides residential care for up to 45 residents. This includes long-term, short-term and respite care, as well as specialist care for people with complex needs such as alzheimers, dementia and physical disabilities. Support is provided in one specially adapted building across two floors. Middlesbrough Grange is rated as ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission.

Accommodation and Facilities

Middlesbrough Grange is a purposely-built residential care home split over two floors in the heart of the local community of Netherfields in Middlesbrough. On one of these floors is dedicated area for people living with dementia/alzheimer’s who require more specialist support

All of our rooms are en-suite and decorated to a high standard. We encourage residents to bring their own furnishings to make their room feel as homely as possible.

There are three comfortable lounges in the home, along with our very own pub, the Netherfields Arms. In addition, we have three dining rooms serving fresh home cooked food, an inner and outer courtyard, shop and hairdressing salon.

We also offer a personal laundry service for all residents and have regular visits from an optician, dentist and chiropodist.

Middlesbrough Grange is situated close to local services and amenities, with shops a short walk away and a bus stop immediately outside the home.

Our Manager

Nikki O’Rourke is the manager at Middlesbrough Grange. She is a vastly experienced care professional, having worked in the sector for over ten years. She was Deputy Manager at our sister care home Longlands from 2019 until her appointment at Middlesbrough Grange in July 2023.

Middlesbrough Grange has a highly qualified, long-serving staff team who are committed to providing unrivalled person-centred care, ensuring our residents are safe, happy and comfortable in the home at all times.

Our Activity Programme

We provide a wide range of activities designed to encourage group involvement but also to meet individual needs, but the choice to participate rests solely with our residents.

Each day is different, but activities include bingo, dominoes, reminiscence, arts and crafts, exercise classes, race nights evenings, pamper nights, coffee mornings and outings to local markets and shops and also local places of interest. We also encourage visits from local entertainers, such as choirs, singers, and groups.

Middlesbrough Grange is situated in the heart of the community in Netherfields, a suburb of Middlesbrough. It is surrounded by various local amenities, including shops, and a bus stop is outside the home, making it easily accessible to visitors.
