Longlands is split over two floors, with 43 bedrooms, all of which are ensuite and decorated to a high standard. We also encourage residents to bring their own furnishings to make their room feel as homely as possible.
Inside the home, there are three comfortable lounges along with a conservatory which overlook our pleasant enclosed gardens complete with established plants and shrubs and even our own apple tree, two dining rooms serving fresh home-cooked food, hairdressing salon and ample parking for visitors.
We also offer a personal laundry service for all residents and as well as a hairdresser who attends weekly, we also have regular visits from an optician, dentist and chiropodist.
Our unique, inclusive care packages, for private fee payers, offer everything from personal grooming and family dining events to therapeutic and holistic treatments. We also have a Resident Loan Fund which enables residents to keep a small personal float in the home so they can make small purchases without the worry of carrying cash.
Our Familiar Spaces project helps people living with dementia by replicating the layout and décor of their bedroom from home so their new space feels instantly familiar. We even take a photograph of the view from their old bedroom window and create a custom wall canvas so they can wake up to the same view they’ve known for years.
We also understand how important it is to feel connected to family and friends and that’s why we have a family WhatsApp group and a monthly newsletter tailored specifically to each resident.

It’s great that I can bring his dog Molly in to see him. Deep down I know he likes life at Longlands. They take photos of the various activities and I can tell from the smile on his face. That says it all.
Lucy, grand-daughter of resident
They take an interest in the residents and get to know them as individuals and treat them as if they are people not just a number.
Ann, daughter of resident
She is a new woman since going there and treats it like a hotel, which is fabulous as that’s what we wanted for her. This is all down to the amazing staff and the fantastic care they provide; we couldn’t be happier with Longlands
Sally, daughter of resident
I know he is in the right place. He is safe and happy and receiving the very best care. There’s nowhere better than Roseleigh and the best compliment I can give is that I would be more than happy to book a room there for myself!
Denise, wife of resident
Coming to Longlands has put a real spring in mum’s step and my wife and I are overwhelmed by how good the home is.
Paul, son of resident
It really is like a load has been taken off our shoulders to know dad is safe and if he does fall or anything happens there will be someone there to help him.
