Born to do

Cheryl Fuller has only worked in care for just over a year but it’s safe to say it’s something she was born to do.

The only reason she didn’t come into the profession sooner was that she opted to stay at home to bring up her three children – and now she is making up for lost time whilst still having the best of both worlds.

Cheryl explains: “I work nights which still gives me the flexibility to be around during the day when the children get home from school or during holidays.

“Working in care is something I have always wanted to do so it works really well for me.”

Cheryl has impressed so much that she was named the Middlesbrough Grange employee of the month for April, with Home Manager Amanda Richardson saying: “Cheryl is the salt of the earth and so reliable. All the residents think she is fabulous and so do we!”

Cheryl says: “It was nice to win the award and to know they think highly of me.

“It’s a great place to work, very friendly staff and the residents have become like family to me.”
