Hard not to recognise

If you have ever been to Roseleigh, it would be hard not to recognise Claire Docherty immediately.

That’s because she is likely to wearing something a little bit different.

Like a dinosaur costume, or a onesie, or a tutu.

You may even see her going down the corridors on her rolling skates.

Claire is our queen of dressing up and it’s something the residents absolutely love.

She came to Roseleigh in 2014 and after doing other jobs before this, no-one would that she has found her calling as a carer.

“I love making people happy and dressing up and putting the two together is the perfect combination,” she says.

“It’s great for the residents because when I am on my rolling skates, for example, it brings back nice memories of when they went to roller rinks in their younger days.

“Roseleigh is a great place in which to work, and I would recommend it as somewhere to live to any of my family – that’s the best compliment I can give.”

Outside of work Claire enjoys spending time with her partner, their three children and three grandchildren (with another on the way).

She also continues to help her elderly ladies and has been known to do some charity work, although that’s a story for another day as it involved dressing up as a……….
