Lilibet Manor has helped to raise money for a charity which supports the LGBTQ+ community in Lancashire.
Our first-ever LGBTQ+ month in May culminated in a celebration event involving residents, staff, families, local people, and members of the local LGBTQ+ community.
The event, held in the grounds of the home, included entertainment from local singer Gina Kay, along with a performance from a drag queen, raffle, bingo, games, and BBQ.
All the money raised has gone to Lancashire LGBT, a charity whose mission is to support LGBTQ+ people in Lancashire to be happier, healthier, and better connected.
Emily Whitehurst, Chief Operating Officer at Constantia Healthcare, said: “Constantia Healthcare is a small, family run care group which is inclusive of all people regardless of their gender, ethnicity, culture, or orientation.
“We celebrate lots of dates in the calendar such as Christmas, EID, Easter, Hannukah and we wanted to extend this to celebrate love.
“Love comes in all forms, and we decided that we would have the month of May as our LGBTQ+ month for Lilibet Manor.
“It was fantastic to involve our residents, staff, people living near the home and members of the local LGBTQ+ community. Everyone had a wonderful time and it was great to be able to raise money for a charity which is playing an important part in supporting LGBTQ+ people in our area.”
