Faces of Constantia – Meet Lesley (Linson Court)

Lesley, a resident at Linson Court, was born at Batley Hospital and grew up in Dewsbury. As an only child, she had a happy upbringing and fondly remembers her time at private school in Pudsey, where she played hockey and made many friends.

From a young age, Lesley dreamed of becoming a typist, and she did exactly that, working at a solicitors firm before later running her parents’ business, Baileys Café in Dewsbury.

Her advice for life is simple but powerful:
✨ “Be yourself always and be true to yourself.” ✨

Lesley has enjoyed horse riding and cycling, as well as cheering on her hockey team. These days, she still loves a good cup of tea, enjoys hearty savoury meals (especially a meat pie!), and often relaxes with Emmerdale on television.

Her life lesson for younger generations is:
💭 “Always have manners, be caring, and be kind to others.”

Friends describe Lesley as fun, caring, and full of personality — qualities that shine through in her warm presence.

Lesley’s story reminds us of the value of staying true to ourselves and showing kindness at every stage of life.
