Pat, a much-loved resident at Longlands Care Home, grew up in Middlesbrough where she was born at Parkside Hospital. Childhood for Pat was full of fun and adventure — she fondly remembers the mischief she got up to with her sister, often finding ways to keep themselves entertained.
As she grew older, Pat began working in the town centre at British Home Stores, a role she enjoyed for its energy and variety. Later, she found real fulfilment working with children in a nursery, where her warmth and fun-loving nature made her a natural fit.
Pat has always had a lively spirit. She loves reading and magazines, but she also enjoys socialising — and to this day, she never misses the chance to enjoy a good party.
When asked what advice she would give to younger generations, Pat answers with a cheeky smile:
💭 “All men are not the same.” 😉
Her friends describe her in three simple words: Funny. Kind. Outgoing.
Pat’s story is a reminder that joy can be found in the everyday — in laughter, in good company, and in staying true to yourself.
We are delighted to celebrate Pat as part of our Faces of Constantia series.
