Accommodation and Facilities

Middlesbrough Grange is a purposely-built residential care home split over two floors in the heart of the local community of Netherfields in Middlesbrough. On one of these floors is a dedicated area for people living with dementia/alzheimer’s who require more specialist support.

All of our rooms are en-suite and decorated to a high standard. We encourage residents to bring their own furnishings to make their room feel as homely as possible.

There are three comfortable lounges in the home.  In addition, we have three dining rooms serving fresh home cooked food, an inner and outer courtyard, shop and hairdressing salon.

We also offer a personal laundry service for all residents and have regular visits from an optician, dentist and chiropodist. Middlesbrough Grange is situated close to local services and amenities, with shops a short walk away and a bus stop immediately outside the home.

Our unique, inclusive care packages, for private fee payers, offer everything from personal grooming and family dining events to therapeutic and holistic treatments. We also have a Resident Loan Fund which enables residents to keep a small personal float in the home so they can make small purchases without the worry of carrying cash.

Our Familiar Spaces project helps people living with dementia by replicating the layout and décor of their bedroom from home so their new space feels instantly familiar. We even take a photograph of the view from their old bedroom window and create a custom wall canvas so they can wake up to the same view they’ve known for years.

We also understand how important it is to feel connected to family and friends and that’s why we have a family WhatsApp group and a monthly newsletter tailored specifically to each resident.
