Elizabeth’s story begins in Chantilly, France, where she was born and raised during the war. Childhood for her was marked by hardship — she spent time in a concentration camp, an experience she recalls with quiet strength. “It was hard, but as children we learned to adapt and just got on with it,” she says.
Though Elizabeth dreamed of becoming a nanny, her life took her in different directions. She first worked as an electrical engineer before later finding joy in a completely different role — as a much-loved dinner lady.
Her advice in life is simple but deeply meaningful:

Elizabeth has always enjoyed creative pastimes such as knitting and reading. She also has a mischievous side and loves watching wrestling on TV, laughing along with the entertainment.
A tea drinker through and through, Elizabeth has moved from a sweet tooth in her younger years to now preferring hearty, traditional meals.
For younger generations, her message is clear:
