Faces of Constantia – Meet Margaret (The Millings)

Margaret was born in Romanby, Northallerton, in a close-knit community where walking a mile to school was simply part of daily life. She once dreamed of being a hairdresser, but instead found herself working at Barkers in Northallerton, where she earned 7 shillings 6 pence a week and took great pride in her work.

Her advice for life is uplifting:
✨ “Be yourself and always try your best.” ✨

Knitting has always been one of Margaret’s passions, and since joining The Millings, she has also discovered a love of card making and enjoys playing Scrabble. She is a tea drinker, prefers savoury foods, and loves watching Emmerdale, Coronation Street, and wildlife programmes.

Her life lesson for younger generations is a reminder to pursue your dreams:
💭 “If you have a dream, work hard and go for it!”

Friends describe Margaret as quiet, funny, and thoughtful. Her story celebrates the importance of perseverance, creativity, and kindness.
