They say first impressions matter, so we couldn’t have picked anyone better than Leanne Clarke to be the first point of contact at Linson Court.
As our Administrator, Leanne is generally the first person people will talk to when they call the home whether that’s someone making an enquiry about care, a relative checking on their loved on or a health professional asking for information.
Having worked as a carer before going into admin, Leanne has seen things from both sides, so is the ideal ‘go-to’ person for any situation.
She joined Linson Court in June 2024, seeking a return to care after years working in an office environment but also looking for a better work-life balance.
“I missed being around the residents and different interactions which take place within a care home environment,” explains Leanne.
“I was also working quite far away before and was looking for somewhere a bit closer to home, so this job worked out perfectly for me.”
As Administrator, Leanne always has a very varied day whether it’s responding to telephone calls, sorting through the mail, checking timesheets, or processing invoices, to name just a few of her tasks.
“Every single day is different and there’s always something going on or somebody that needs you to do something,” says Leanne.
“I also still get to spend lots of time with the residents, which I love. They will often pop into my office for a chat over a cuppa.
“Even though I had previously worked as a Carer, I didn’t know what to expect because it was a completely different role for me, but I really enjoy it.”
Outside of work, mum-of-two Leanne enjoys spending quality time with her family.
