Our People – Sam Oxendale

Sam Oxendale loves working at Queen’s Lodge so much, she has even got her grandparents on the waiting list!

And because she has worked at the home for ten years, we think she’s a great judge!
Sam says she wanted to be a carer for as long as she remembers.

She says: “I have always liked caring and looking after people, so this has always been the right job for me.

“And working at Queen’s Lodge makes it even better because everyone gets on so well together.

“I joke that I see more of the other staff and residents than I do my own family, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

“That’s why I am persuading my grandparents to come here when the time is right!”

In her spare time Sam enjoys spending time with her fiancée and young daughter and going on nature trails.
