Our Residents – Bob

Bob Carr spent his working life clocking up the miles during his career as a postman.

He’s not sure exactly how far he walked over the years but not surprisingly he says he was glad when he went to work at the sorting office in Cannon Park, Middlesbrough.

Bob says: “I loved working. It wasn’t always easy walking the streets delivering post, especially in bad weather, but it kept me fit and healthy.”

Bob moved to Longlands in April 2021 and says he enjoys living in the home.

“The staff are very good, and I am very settled here,” he says.

“Nothing is too much trouble for them and the food is really good, so I have no complaints.”
