Re-ignited her passion

Kim Jackson vowed she would never work in residential care again but says her new role at Constantia Healthcare has re-ignited her passion for the sector.

Kim worked, for a number of years, in an administrative capacity for one of the UK’s largest care home operators but thought it was time to do something different.

Then, after working from home for two years due to the pandemic, she decided she want to return to residential care and saw an admin job advertised for Lilibet Manor, the latest home to be added to the Constantia group.

Having joined in January 2022, Kim’s role has now changed, and she is now PA to the Chief Operating Officer, Emily Whitehurst.

This is a wide-ranging role covering everything from coordinating Emily’s diary; through to helping with recruitment and training.

Kim, who has a Level 2 and Level 3 in Business Administration, says: “I love working here because it is a job that does not involve setting at a desk all day.

“I like to be very hands-on, whether that is moving beds with Emily or chatting with residents and their families.

“Having worked for a large care group, it’s also nice to be at a smaller company which is just starting to grow and where everyone is valued and encouraged to contribute to the day-to-day running of the business.”

Outside of work Kim, 41, enjoys walking her dogs and watching her 18-year-old son Adam play rugby for Burnley Rugby Union Football Club
