Following a review of a resident carried out by a social worker, staff at our Roseleigh care home in Middlesbrough received praise for being “very positive, approachable and welcoming.”
The social worker said: “I was very impressed with the detail in the documentation of your care plan which was all accessible to me and information on each element of Mark’s* care being easy to locate.
“Although Mark lacks capacity in respect of his care and accommodation and not vocal in expressing his wants and wishes it was very clear staff have taken the time to get to know him on a personal level.
“His care planning documented small personal details which staff have identified as important to him and included in his support planning to ensure consistency.
“Due to the knowledge and skills of yourself and staff you have potentially averted Mark’s physical health declining, you identified changes within him and acted promptly to identify the issues.
“The outcome was Mark diagnosed with cancer. Had this change not been recognised so soon he would have potentially required a higher level of invasive and potentially painful medical procedures.
“It is lovely to see him so happy and relaxed and comfortable in his environment. It is very evident a person centred approach is taken in respect of meeting all of his needs
