Roseleigh visitors pod

We know how difficult it has been not being able to visit your loved ones within the home, but we are pleased to announce that our new Roseleigh visitors’ pod is now open.

The pod has received official approval from Middlesbrough Council and will remain open even with the new national lockdown which began on 5th January.

You will be able to see and speak to your loved ones via the pod which we have created by converting the dining room. This has involved adding a partition window in the room and providing a two-way intercom.

Appointments need to be made in advance and on arrival, you will need to get your temperature checked and be asked a few questions relating to Covid-19 symptoms before making your way around the back of the home to enter the pod from outside.

You will need to wash your hands upon entering the room and will then greeted by your loved one who will be sitting on the other side of the glass in the dining room.. After the visit is over, we will ask you to kindly wash your hands again and staff will thoroughly clean the room before the next visit takes place.

Whilst we understand that you would love to kiss, hug and cuddle your loved one, hopefully this is the next best thing until that can happen again, hopefully very soon at Roseleigh!

We have now turned the garden room into the dining room and relocated the smoking area so residents can enjoy their meals without anyone needing to go outside for a cigarette.
