We are pleased to announce that 99.9% of our staff and residents have now received their first Covid-19 vaccinations.

At the time of writing this post (11th February), only one resident and five members of staff had not received their vaccinations, but all are due to have them very shortly.

This will give everyone who lives and works in the home initial protection from Covid-19, with the second vaccinations to follow soon which will provide even greater protection.

Whilst we will still need to follow Government guidance around Covid-19, it provides our residents, staff and families with some more freedom and more importantly peace of mind.

It also hopefully means that at some point, especially when the wider population receive their Covid-19 vaccinations and infection and death rates begin to decrease, we will once again be able to welcome families back into the homes properly again, so they are can hug and kiss their loved ones like they used to do.

Until then families will still be able to see their loved ones via the safe visitor pod in the conservatory which will re-open shortly.

The health and wellbeing of our residents and staff at Queen’s Lodge remains our number one priority at this time,
